Shows for Spring

March 25, 2022

With blue skies and sunnier days, it is clear that spring is here. And whilst we are all excited to spend more time outside as the days get longer, there’s still always time to put your feet up in front of the TV for some feel-good entertainment. As the seasons change, there’s a whole host of new programming available: sports, entertainment and reality TV to get you in the mood for summer fun. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite shows returning to your screens.

Love island

Love

Germany and Spain are kicking off a summer of love with Love Island, which will air on RTL 2 from March in Germany and on neox in April. The reality TV show which sees single participants couple up in an effort to find love is a favourite spring-time binge all across Europe. Love is in the air, with Mariés au Premier regard available on M6 in France in March. Using a scientific formula, the programme seals the fate of 14 strangers who are brought together to get married, with no prior knowledge of each other.

Talent

Spring brings with it rising talents, with a jam-packed schedule of talent shows all across Europe. The 15th series of Britain’s got Talent airs on ITV in April, showcasing the best of Britain’s dancers, acrobats, actors, comedians, rappers and magicians. Sing meinen song airs on vox from April. This unique show focuses on a different singer every week, with the competitors taking on one of their songs and making it their own. Spanish spectators are treated to two singing competition shows in May – the ever-popular Masked Singer and La Voz kids, which will both be shown on Antena 3. Finally, the biggest song contest of the year- the Eurovision– will be available to watch on Rai in May.

Sports

For sports fans, there are a number of sporting events to look out for. The Champions League play-offs will be available in the Netherlands (Ziggo Sport), Luxembourg (RTL) and Belgium (Club RTL; VTM 2), as well as the final which is set for May. Similarly, coverage of the French tennis championships Roland Garros will be available on ITV in the UK from the opening match in May to the final in June.

There’s something for everyone on our partner channels this Spring, don’t miss out!
