German companies part of the Bertelsmann Content Alliance are set to participate in a sustainability week with the slogan “Packen wir’s an!” (Let’s do it!) from the 4th to the 10th of October.
Under the tagline “Damit es auch morgen noch läuft” (Keep it flowing for tomorrow), participating companies will take advantage of their media influence to raise awareness of the importance of water as a natural resource and a wildlife habitat as well as attempting to showcase how climate change could change the future. Each company will dedicate their respective media outlets to the publication of relevant information:
Gruner and Jahr will feature the theme both in print and online as digital and podcast content alongside front covers and specials about climate change and environmental protection. Numerous magazines will offer advice on how to sustainably use water.
RTL Deutschland will centre its news and journal programmes around this theme. There will be a page on TV Now dedicated to all sustainability content where you can explore all the exclusive emissions. One of the many highlights will include the documentary “Mission Erde Spezial- Wie gut ist unser Wasser?” (Mission Special Earth – How good is our water?), on the 5th of October on Vox. Author and environmental activist will travel across Germany to examine how much life is left in the waters. Even drama series “Alles was zählt” (All that counts) will integrate the theme into their episodes for that week.
The RTL Radio Deutschland stations will discuss current trends related to water and share interviews regarding how to sustainably manage the resource in our daily lives.
Similarly, the Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe will publish several books on the topic. This will include Akshat Rathi’s inspiring “Klima ist für alle da” (United We Are Unstoppable) which covers the stories of 60 young peoples’ experiences as climate activists. The podcast “Wohlfühlklima” (Feel-Good Climate) launching by Random House Audio on the 17th of September will take inspiration from this book. Various other related podcasts will also be available on Audio Now.
Overall, the new Sustainability Week set to launch by the Bertelsmann Content Alliance group promises to be
an information-packed week focussing on pertinent issues.
